The Millionaires' Unit: America’s Pioneer Pilots of the Great War is the first feature-length documentary to be produced by Humanus Documentary Films Foundation, a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit, incorporated in California in 2008.  For the past four years, a small contingent of writers, graphic designers and filmmakers have volunteered countless hours in development of the film, website and the supporting non-profit.  In addition, a core group of supporters, many of whom are relatives or direct decedents of the members of the First Yale Unit, have come forward with materials and help to fund our efforts.

Since the beginning, we have looked for and found support from the people closest to the First Yale Unit – the better to tell the story.  If you have an attachment to this history, we solicit your interest, your expertise, your advice, and the use of any archival materials, reminiscences, or knowledge of the FYU and the World War I era.
